REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Athletes will need to register in order to participate. Registration will open on Tuesday, September 1st, 2021.

Fall Registration is now open (9/1/20) for the Football and Volleyball Practice Season.  Parents please log into your lock and key and follow the SchoolPay Registration Steps for viewing your new account with SchoolPay in order to register (note a cost is not associated with these practice seasons).  If you run into issues please reach out to Molly Gamble in the activities office at 763-506-6706.

Registration Information Fall 2020

For these practice seasons you must complete and checkout for $0 with both of the MSHSL forms as well as checkout with the activity for $0.

The MSHSL league forms only need to be filled out once a year so these will not be required again for the 2020/21 school year.

Two most common questions that Molly has received so far:

1.  Athletes must have a valid sports physical on file to view activities and register (Molly has been encouraging students to email her their updated physicals instead of dropping them off in person).

2.  For athletic registration they must complete the 2 MSHSL forms and checkout and pay for $0 prior to even being able to see the BHS activities listed.

Any registration questions contact Molly Gamble:

If you have any questions, please let me know. However, I may not have an answer for you because things are still in the works. Please be patient and know that we will update you when we know more.

BVB Volleyball 2020 Season Update (Thursday, August 20th)

  1. The MSHSL has granted a 3-week training period from Monday, September 14th through Saturday, October 3rd where athletes can train with their high school teammates and coaches. This is basically the first part of the 2020 season. The 2020 season will consist of this training window, and then a competitive window in the spring of 2021. The exact dates of that window are yet to be determined.

  2. During this training window in the fall, we are allowed 12 practices. We are tentatively planning for practice Monday-Thursday starting at roughly 4:00p for all players interested in playing volleyball. The exact dates and times will be updated once we gather a bit more information from our district.

  3. During this time, players can play in the various fall leagues while also participating in the training window with the high school coaches. They are NOT allowed to be coached by the high school coaches for the league.

  4. There will not be tryouts during this time, but players are expected to attend and make this a priority just as if it were our traditional high school season!

  5. A decision has not been made about players playing both high school and club at the same time in the spring. That decision is going to be made by the MSHSL in the upcoming weeks. There is nothing to worry about at this time on that issue. However, I would be ready to make sure that the club you are planning to play for is going to allow you to do both as some clubs have made it known that they will not be flexible with this.

  6. In order to participate in the training window, players will still have to register through the district to make sure everyone is covered under insurance and such. There will be no fee for this, but if you are not registered, you will not be allowed to participate. This registration is NOT currently available and we will inform athletes when it is. Please do not contact the Athletic Department to register at this time.

Things that are being considered and what you should know about these things:

  1. The season has officially been moved to the spring. What the actual dates will be are yet to be determined. Any dates that you may have seen on the news or social media or not official until you hear them from me.

  2. The spring season will consist of fewer matches and no tournaments at this point. This may change in the future depending on how we progress through this pandemic. Currently, sports are being reduced by 20% on total weeks (13 to 10), and 30% in contests. The elimination of tournaments basically takes care of this.

  3. No matter the dates, there will be an overlap of the high school and club seasons. We are working with the MSHSL to allow the players to play both at the same time as players currently are not allowed to do so. However, if this does not happen, it is important that you find a club that will basically take a break during the high school season to allow you to play both high school and club! My guess is that there is going to be some sort of compromise between the MSHSL and clubs, but do not jeopardize your ability to play high school volleyball by playing for a club that will not allow you to do both!

If you have any questions, please let me know. However, I may not have an answer for you because things are still in the works. Please be patient and know that we will update you when we know more.
