JO Tryouts

12s, 14s, & 16s level
Blaine Juniors JO teams are open to girls in grades 6 - 10 that live in the Blaine High School attendance area or currently attend an Anoka-Hennepin public school within the Blaine High School attendance area. More information on our YDT program grades 4 - 5 can be found here.
Blaine Volleyball reserves the right to prioritize Anoka-Hennepin public school students, in accordance with guidance from Blaine High School volleyball staff and the Activities Director.
12's Season Information
The club season begins in December and runs until mid-March. Practices will be held 2 times per week (with the possibility of only one practice per week on holiday weeks). There will be 6 playdates/tournaments and all will be located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul greater metro area.
14's Season Information
The club season begins in December and runs through mid-April. Practices will be held 2 times per week (with the possibility of only one practice per week on holiday weeks). The team will have 8 playdates/tournaments. The 14's teams may play one out of town weekend tournament. All other playdates/tournaments will be located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul greater metro area.
16's Season Information
The club season begins in December and wraps up March 22nd. The team will have 2 practices per week (with the possibility of only one practice per week on holiday weeks). There will be 7-8 playdates/tournaments, with one possibly being an out of town weekend tournament. All other playdates/tournaments will be located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul greater metro area.

TRYOUTS
We hope to have 1-2 teams at each level:
12's: tryouts required for this level
14's: tryouts required for this level
16's: tryouts required for this level
If space, resources, and tryout numbers allow, we will have up to two teams at each level. Your athlete must be at Tryouts to be assigned to a team. The Blaine Juniors Volleyball coaching staff will form teams based on age, skill and coachability. Team rosters will most likely include 10 athletes and 2 coaches.
Volleyball players in the Blaine High School attendance area or currently attend school within the Blaine School District in grades 6-10 are eligible to try out for a spot on one of our competitive JO teams. Blaine Volleyball reserves the right to prioritize Anoka-Hennepin public school students, in accordance with guidance from Blaine High School volleyball staff and the Activities Director.
According to USAV rules, we will follow these age classification guidelines for the upcoming season: USA Volleyball Junior Player Age Definition
The Blaine Juniors Volleyball Scholarship program provides financial assistance for those wishing to play volleyball in the Blaine Juniors Volleyball organization who are registered in the Anoka-Hennepin Educational Benefits Program. Please email a copy of your district letter of participation to blainejovb@gmail.com. A registration discount code will be provided AFTER tryouts if your athlete is offered a roster spot.
