The Youth Development Program is an introduction for our younger athletes to Junior Olympic/Competitive Volleyball. Teams are taught advanced fundamentals and skills through positive, structured practices and increased competition and play. Players are reminded of the value of hard work, commitment, communication, and teamwork.
Who Can Register
This program is open to 4th & 5th grade girls in the Blaine High School attendance area.
Blaine Volleyball reserves the right to prioritize Anoka-Hennepin public school students, in accordance with guidance from Blaine High School volleyball staff and the Activities Director.
Season Details
The Youth Development Program season runs from the beginning of December to the beginning of March, with playdates beginning in January. Each Youth Development Program team will have 1-2 practices per week and 4 total playdates.

Your athlete must be at the Tryouts to be assigned to a team.
The Blaine Juniors Volleyball coaching staff will form teams based on age, skill and coachability and may be comprised of athletes from various grades. Team rosters will most likely include 10 athletes and 2 coaches. Our goal is to create up to 4 YDT teams.
The Blaine Juniors Volleyball Scholarship program provides financial assistance for those wishing to play volleyball in the Blaine Juniors Volleyball organization who are registered in the Anoka-Hennepin Educational Benefits Program. A registration discount code will be provided AFTER tryouts if your athlete is offered a roster spot.
